Bellydance especially on stage needs to look powerful and grab attention. People from the middleast usually line their eyes with kohl. Modern day arabs also have the habit of applying thick makeup, especially around their eyes. I will upload a few experiments i tried with makeup that can be used for bellydancing as well. Personally, i like less makeup. I love lining my eyes. But i shall upload both types. Tribal  and gothic bellydancers might be more interested in the powerful makeup. As for the others, you can do some elegant styles :)

Black & Brown Smokey eyes

BREAKDOWN

Ingredients- Mac Black track, Mac Kohl, Red Earth Brown eyeshadow, Some bodyshop white shadow.

Firstly, cover your upper lid with black track. Then top it up with kohl. Blend the upper lid with brown eye shadow. Its a really burnt brown so it goes well with black. Then blend it up with some white. Draw black eyeliner on your lower lashline and waterline. Top it off with strong mascara. Go with nude lipstick and it will look perfect. Its as simple as that. This is one of my fav. looks. Easy to do and really fast and looks like youve done lotsa work! Goes well with all types of bellydance especially Tribal!

Ignore the bad fotoshop skills. I am bad at it…. This type can be used for tribal and gothic bellydancers. It suits the genre of that dance. I used quite alot of mac eyeliner for this one. And some white eyeliner as well.

The character makeup

I mixed gold and black. This to me is quite normal for stage. Most genres of bellydances can use it. It does stand out in stage as well.

Everyone’s favourite smokey eye?

Well the smokey eye is also a good idea for stage. I used Mac club and Mac carbon.

A very simple eye makeup

I really love this type. Too much makeup makes me feel uneasy when i perform.
